Augusta, Ga-- A busy week lies ahead for the Augusta Lynx with four games in five nights as they hope to make hay in the standings. While they appear to have gotten over their scoring first doldrums, there's still plenty of concern.

Namely, lack of offensive firepower. After doing the math, the line of Aaron Slattengren, Louis Goulet and Jason Laliberte have scored 43% of the Lynx goals this year. That's kind of an astounding number. Ryan Dingle and Mike Christie were putting up big numbers before being called up and has left a void in the offensive firepower.

Bob Ferguson said, "We're missing a lot of offensive firepower right now. We're only getting offense from basically three or four players and it's really showing on our power play without a couple of our power play guys. We were on a roll there where we got up to seventh or eighth overall in the league a couple of weeks ago. Matt (Christie) and Ryan (Dingle) got called up so we're relying on the same three or four guys. We're getting our chances, they're just not going in."

Matt Auffrey is the only other Lynx player with more then ten goals, he has 11, his linemate Bobby Bolt has shown signs. But now they'll have to step it up more for the Lynx to be legitmate contenders. Lynx in Charlotte tomorrow night, then back home Friday, Saturday, and New Year's Eve.
