EVANS,Ga---The Greenbrier athletic program continues to take a close look at itself.
Head football coach Scott Chadwick has stepped down, at least temporarily, as athletic director in the midst of an internal investigation that shows ineligible players were allowed to participate in football. The school is also planning to forfeit wins against Lakeside and Westside, in which ineligible players were used.
Columbia County Superintendent Charles Nagle says Greenbrier's investigation is ongoing but nearing completion at which point it will be turned in to the Georgia High School Association and further penalties could be coming.
