Augusta, Ga-- "First time I've been fighting since I was a pro overseas." said Ray Whitfield. "As an amateur I traveled a lot and fought in a lot of foreign places but I'm hoping to add this and come out with a victory."

That would be nothing new for Augusta's own Ray Whitfield as he preps for his next fight.

The N.A.B.O. Flyweight title holder is getting set for his first fight since his win at the Bell Auditorium in Augusta back in August.
Whitfield is heading to the Carribbean on Thursday to put his perfect 18 and 0 record on the line against Domingo Guillen. A more experienced fighter with 45 bouts under his belt and 33 of his 36 wins by way of knockout.

"I'm not really concerned." said Ray Whitfield. "because we've trained hard for this guy. I know the guy has a lot of power and has a lot of knockouts and impressive record so i'm going in there a little cautious, but it's not bothering me that much."

N.A.B.O. rules stipulate a fight nust be 12 rounds to put a title on the line and Thursday's fight is only set for eight rounds so it will not be a title defense for Whitfield.

E.S.P.N. Classic has signed on to televise the match.
