September 15, 2008

ATLANTA (AP) -- Gasoline prices are surging again across Georgia despite reports that Hurricane Ike inflicted minimal damage to oil installations on the Texas coast.

The national average for regular is $3.84 a gallon.

Prices also were higher for other motor fuels. Midgrade averaged almost $4.37 -- up about 14 cents.

Premium fuel jumped 15 cents overnight to an average of $4.56 a gallon.
