A new study shows that peripheral or blocked arteries can be successfully treated with MDCT angiographies. This is the practice of examining blood vessels with an x-ray, allowing patients to avoid more complicated and painful surgery. Another way to avoid clogged or blocked arteries is to watch your diet.
Kim Beavers, registered dietitian tells us, "This is important because it features vegetable proteins instead of animal proteins and they are lower in saturated fats and can have a bigger affect on our cholesterol levels."

Some good vegetable proteins you can look for are gluten ingredients, soy or nuts.
