A local boy's story will be reaching folks he never had the chance to meet.
The Medical College of Georgia premiered a documentary at the Imperial Theatre tonight featuring Daniel Moretz, a local teenager who had more than a dozen heart surgeries, including a heart transplant back in 1999.
Daniel passed away last year at the age of 14...but he left a lasting mark on the children's medical center here. He helped design it. And his family was instrumental in getting national healthcare to think about families in the hospital, and not just the young patient.
The documentary is being shown October 29 on PBS.
