WARREN CTY, Ga. -- The Warren County school system has been given an extension on their accreditation status. According to the report from AdvanceED, the group that provides accreditation, research and professional services for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI), the schools must host another Special Review Team visit no later than December 31, 2010 to avoid the loss of their accreditation.
In addition, the school system must submit an Institutional Progress Report two weeks prior to the visit. The team will then assess the school district’s completion of the required actions and its accreditation status.
A 16-page report of the group’s findings was provided to the school system for their use. It will be used as a guide to ensure the district meetings the Standards for Accreditation. You can see the full report at http://static.mgnetwork.com/jbf/media_path/pdf/Warren_Co_SRT_June_2010_final.pdf.
