RICHMOND COUNTY -- We have new information about a possible middle school sex scandal that resulted in a deputy fired from the Richmond County Sheriff's Department.
News 12 first broke the story about the scandal and Ronnie Collins earlier this month.
Before joining the sheriff's office, Collins was a resource officer at Spirit Creek Middle School.
Investigators want to know if he was one of a number of school employees who may have been having sex on school grounds.
He was fired last week because the sheriff says he didn't tell him about this when he was hired as a deputy.
Now, News 12 has documents that show Collins was disciplined for using pepper spray on two students without warning and for not reporting an incident where he drew his weapon.
We're still waiting on the district report on the possible "sex on campus" investigation.
