ATLANTA, Ga.---School choice may be getting a boost from the legislature. State Senator Eric Johnson of Savannah wants to force failing public schools to provide scholarships and vouchers so students can pick another school if they want to.

That would include public and private schools.

Johnson says he's worried some high school graduates may not qualify for Hope scholarships.

There are now 19 Georgia schools that have been on the Needs Improvement list for seven or more years.
