Aiken, SC--By now pretty much everyone recognizes Boise State as a college football powerhouse. Just ask Georgia about that. Well next year, look for a former Silver Bluff product to play a big role in the success of the Broncos. His name Demarcus Lawrence who spent the last year and a half at a junior college in Kansas.
Now he's headed to Boise as a defensive end. Lawrence was also a tight end at Silver Bluff but needed the junior college route to get where he wants to eventually end up. Needless to say, he's excited about the prospects of playing with the broncos.
"Well they came and looked at me playing in the spring and they were really focused on me coming out there." said DeMarcus Lawrence "They gave me the best opportunity to come out there and start. They told me to just keep working out and I'll be alright"
Lawrence heads to Utah just after the new year and will have three years of eligibility remaining.
