Burke County to play for state title after blowing out Gainsville
Burke County will play for their first ever state title after destroying Gainsville 63-28 Friday night in the Georgia Class 3-A state semifinals.

Gainsville, Ga--Burke County will play for the state title after destroying Gainsville 63-28 Friday night in the Georgia Class 3-A state semifinals.
The Red Elephants scored on the first play of the game but the lead didn't last 20 seconds. Donquell Green returned the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown as the Bears were just getting started.
By the time the half was over, the Bears had amassed over 350 yards rushing and six scores en route to the easy win.
Burke County will play Saturday at 4:30 for the state title in the Georgia Dome.
