Williston Elko wins state title

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) -- Dexter Staley scored three touchdowns to
lead Williston-Elko to a state championship with a 34-26 victory over Scott's Branch in Class A Division II on Friday.
The Blue Devils finished the season undefeated as their 14th win took the title from the team that beat them last year.
Williston-Elko trailed by eight points at halftime but scored twice in the third quarter to take the lead. Staley scored his last touchdown on a 49-yard run with less than a minute left in the game.
Scott's Branch tailback Quinton Singleton scored two touchdowns on 23- and 43-yard runs.
