You don't have to break the bank to impress your loved one on Valentine's Day.

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Roses are red, violets are blue and celebrating your love doesn't have to break you!
Celebrating Valentine's Day with your special someone can add up to some big bucks. Wine, dinner, chocolates, roses and a card add up to the hundreds of dollars. However, the special evening with your love doesn't have to break your bank account.
Consider splitting a dinner with your date at your favorite restaurant. Villa Europa is offering a special sweetheart shared dinner on Valentine. The pork flank dinner costs $26.95.
If you can cook or grill, then consider making your own special dinner from the comfort of your own home. News 12 priced a menu at Kroger for two. We rang up two New York strips, salad, baking potatoes, a bottle of wine, strawberries and chocolate for $33.15.
Roses can cost on the average $30 to $100 depending on where you order them. Consider going to your local grocer instead. Kroger's has a dozen long stemmed red roses for $17.99. Add a vase from home and you're done!
The thought is what truly counts on Valentine's Day, so put your thoughts on paper. Skip paying $5 or more for a card and make your own.
You and your date can count your blessings together instead of secretly counting your pennies if you plan ahead!
