AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Allison Beekley, 17, thought working at Terror Town would be the perfect part-time gig.

"I wanted to work there to buy my little brother and sisters Christmas," the teen said.

She says managers told her she would be paid minimum wage or $10 an hour if they had more than 10,000 visitors. She says she never received a dime.

Cristol Davis, Beekley's aunt, said about 70 kids worked at Terror Town during the month of October.

"I'm just flabbergasted by all of this," she said.

According to some of the workers, managers told them multiple times that they would be paid at least minimum wage.

Management also had them fill out forms with their personal information and sign this contract that states "all workers who have completed the job assigned to them will be due some compensation and/or donation" and that they would be "paid on or by Nov. 11, 2011."

News 12 called the owner of Terror Town. He says he was unaware of any contract and believed everyone who worked here was a volunteer. The owner's name is listed on the contract as well as two of The Vue's managers. The Vue nightclub sponsored Terror Town.

Two of the club's managers also managed the haunted house. The main manager would not go on camera with us, but did tell News 12 the owner knew about the contract and about the teens being paid.

"They did us wrong. I mean they had all of us working there promising us pay and we are here and we still don't have seen anything," Beekley said.

The owner of Terror Town did later tell News 12 that he would "compensate" the workers at Terror Town. He would not say when or how much.
