Columbia County firefighters at Greenfield Industries in Evans
Columbia County firefighters are at the scene of a fire at Greenfield Industries in Evans Thursday afternoon.

EVANS, Ga. -- Columbia County firefighters were dispatched this afternoon to a fire call at Greenfield Industries on Old Evans Road.
According to their spokesperson, there was a fire in the ductwork which has been contained. They are now working on getting the smoke out of the building.
News 12 is told everyone evacuated safely.
