AUGUSTA, Ga ---Just this week we told you about a freak accident in one of the University Hospital parking garages involving a Ford Expedition SUV. Investigators believe it was an electrical fire. On Thursday evening - investigators were called out to another fire involving a Ford automobile - this time a 1995 Crown Victoria.

Although its two isolated cases - there are a lot of similarities.

"I'm just thankful that me and my child wasn't in it,"says Lanise Darns, the owner of the car."It was no problem with it, that's why I don't understand why this could have happened so fast."

"I do not suspect any arson on the vehicle, so it appears to be electrical in nature, its just a matter now of finding out where,"says Lt. Neal Brown of the Richmond County Fire Department.

"I have not ran the VIN yet to see if its one of those consisted in the recall so I will be doing that soon."

Its no secret that several Ford models are on a recall list for faulty wiring in the cruise control switch.

Investigator Brown is not ruling that out as a cause just yet. Darns' Crown Victoria now consists of a charred hood - melted tires and frayed wires. Still it could have been worse. She could have been inside. Her sister, Denise says she is thankful for that.

"A car can be replaced but a life can't you know..you can always get another car,"says Denise Darns.
