First up in this edition or Recall and Ripoffs is a ripoff. The FTC has just ordered a Canadian company to pay 5 million bucks for breaking the law.

The companies are collectively known as Pacific Liberty, but there are several different names they were also known by. The FTC says the company charged people more than 300 bucks and the customers were to receive prepaid credit cards and free gifts such as cell phones.

Nobody who paid up received any of those things. Again the company was known by many names, but some of them are Libery Wide Info Services and Atlantic One Info Services Group.

Call 1-877-FTC-HELP for more info.

Next up is a recall. 84,000 Children's Storage bins are being called back. They were made by Magus Industry of Taiwan and were sold at Lowe's from March of 2007 to February of 2008 for 6 bucks.

The reason for the recall is too much lead in the paint. Return them to Lowe's for a full refund.
