Richmond County still hiring bus drivers for upcoming school year

AUGUSTA -- Less than a week before school starts, the Richmond County Board of Education is still looking to hire bus drivers.

The department says it will not know exactly how many more drivers they need until they know how many students will be using the buses this year.

The economy may play a role this year in more students using the buses.

If you are interested, you can apply for a driving position on the school board's website.
