MCDUFFIE CTY., Ga. -- McDuffie County Schools will host after-school programs for students, but they will no longer be free.
McDuffie County School officials say the discounted rate of $20 per student per week is cheaper than other alternatives. Families may apply for after-school financial aid through the DFCS office.
The after-school programs will be operated at each school.
Parents can register for the programs during open house on Aug. 16. The hours will be 4 to 6 p.m. for elementary schools, 5 to 7 p.m. at the middle school and 6 to 8 p.m. at Thomson High School and the MAC.
After school programs begin Monday, Aug. 29.
