MISRATA, Libya (AP) — A revolutionary fighter says the bodies of Moammar Gadhafi, his son Muatassim and a former aide have been moved from a commercial freezer in a warehouse area in this city in anticipation of burial.
A local military spokesman, Ibrahim Beitamal, says he is unaware of the process of burial getting under way. Beitamal says the burial is likely to take place Tuesday.
An Associated Press Television News team saw three vehicles leave the warehouse area late Monday. The team then entered the freezer where the bodies had been stored for the past four days and found it empty.
Haitham al-Fakih, a commander of revolutionary forces in Gadhafi's hometown of Sirte, says the bodies have handed over to the proper authorities for burial.
