BURKE COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- A man has died after a two-vehicle accident in Burke County Thursday morning.
Officials say a Cadillac Catera was driving northbound on River Road when it crossed the center line and hit a Honda Accord head on around 7:34 a.m.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital.
The driver of the Accord, 56-yar-old Paul E. Jackson of Evans, died at the hospital. The Burke County coroner says Jackson died of shock from blood loss while in surgery.
The coroner says Jackson worked at Plant Vogtle and was on his way to work when he was hit.
Officials say 25-year-old Brandon Deshaun Nunnally of Hephzibah was driving the Cadillac. Nunnally is in fair condition.
No charges have been filed at this time, but the crash remains under investigation.
