COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. -- There are some lane closures scheduled next week that could affect traffic in Columbia County.
The outside eastbound lane of Washington Road (approaching Ronald Reagan Drive and Sir Galahad Drive) will be closed. The outside left/thru combination lane on Ronald Reagan Drive going toward Washington Road will also be closed. Traffic turning onto Sir Galahad Drive will be shifted to the outbound left turn lane. The inbound lane will be closed.
These closures will start at 7 a.m. Sunday and will continue until as late as 6 a.m. on Monday as crews repair a water line leak under Washington Road.
Portions of Furys Ferry and Hardy McManus roads will be closed next week from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The closures will take place as crews work on an intersection improvement project.
Furys Ferry Road will be down to one lane for up to half a mile, beginning at its intersection with Three J Road. The quarter-mile lane closure of Hardy McManus Road will start at Sam Baston Drive.
You may want to take an alternate route, if possible.
