AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Roadwork and lane closures scheduled in Augusta this week could affect your commute.
A lane of State Route 88 (between mile markers 8 and 11) will be closed from 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. while crews seal cracks in the roadway. Work is scheduled until Thursday.
One lane of Bobby Jones Expressway near mile marker 5 will be closed Monday through Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. while crews replace the shoulder slab.
A new traffic signal has been activated on Deans Bridge Road near Bobby Jones Expressway. Both northbound and southbound lanes of traffic on Deans Bridge Road will be affected. Drivers will have to use the new exit ramps.
Delays are expected in all of these areas.
