AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Some traffic changes could affect your commute this week.
On Monday, the north outside lane of Deans Bridge Road at the Bobby Jones Expressway overpass will be closed. Traffic will be shifted to the inside lane. The I-520 east exit ramp at Deans Bridge Road will also be closed, but there will be a detour available. Both are expected to be closed until Monday, Oct. 8. The Georgia Department of Transportation says to expect delays.
Mowing is scheduled between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday to Wednesday along State Route 10 (mile markers 0 to 7). Drivers could see a single-lane closure.
A new traffic light is coming to the intersection of Columbia Road and Appling-Harlem Highway in Columbia County. It is expected to be fully operational by 10 a.m. on Wednesday but will be in flash mode starting at 10 a.m. on Monday.
Reynolds Street at 2nd Street will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday while crews finish resurfacing the intersection. Drivers can use Broad Street, Greene Street, East Boundary Street or 4th Street as a detour.
Turknett Spring Road at Hiram Road will be closed from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday while crews remove a large tree. No through traffic will be permitted.
