Traffic changes scheduled for Richmond Co. next week

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Some roadwork will cause some traffic changes in Richmond County next week.

An outside lane of State Route 56 between mile marker 10 and 11 will be closed while crews repair the shoulder. This will happen between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday and on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to noon.

Tractor mowing is scheduled for State Route 121 and State Route 10.

On Monday, the intersection of Eighth and Broad streets will be closed from 5 to 9 p.m. while crews inspect the underground storm water system. Drivers can use Seventh Street or Ninth Street as a detour.
