UPDATE: Teen dead after being hit by car in Evans

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. -- A Grovetown teen has died after being hit by an SUV on Hereford Farm Road.
The Columbia County coroner says 17-year-old Corey Morin was pronounced dead shortly after 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
Cpt. Steve Morris of the Columbia County Sheriff's Office says Morin was trying to cross the road near Lewiston Elementary School when he stepped into the path of an SUV around 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
Morris says the teenager did not see the SUV, and the driver of the will not be charged.
