AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. -- An accident involving a tanker truck caused a traffic nightmare along the interstate on Friday morning.
The tanker truck rolled over around 10:30 a.m. on Interstate 20 between mile markers 16 and 18 in Aiken County.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol says there had been a minor accident earlier that morning at mile marker 15, causing traffic to slow.
They say Doug Morgan was driving a pickup truck pulling a trailer when he saw the traffic backup and started to slow down.
Brandon Lyons was driving the tanker truck and couldn't slow down in time, hitting Morgan's trailer and causing his tanker to roll over.
Lyons was taken to the hospital for his injuries. There is no word on how serious they are at this time.
Both men were wearing seat belts.
