Roadwork extended for exit ramp of Bobby Jones Expressway

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The westbound exit ramp of I-520 to Mike Padget Highway (exit 9) will be closed on Monday.
Crews started resurfacing the roadway last week, but inclement weather prevented them from finishing the work.
The closure will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
As a detour, you can take the Peach Orchard Road exit (exit 7), get back on Interstate 520 and then use the eastbound exit to Mike Padgett Highway (exit 9).
Drivers may see delays and are encouraged to take alternate routes.
