AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Some road closings and construction planned for the area could affect your commute next week.
On Monday, Schley Street (between Wrightsboro Road and Central Avenue) will be closed while a tree is removed. While the road is closed between 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., drivers are advised to use Whitney Street and Monte Sano Avenue as alternate routes.
Crews will be repairing the shoulder on Gordon Highway between mile markers 7 and 10 Tuesday through Thursday. A lane could be closed while work is completed between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
