Roadwork scheduled for Richmond, Columbia counties next week

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Some upcoming changes to traffic may affect your commute next week.
A lane of I-20 westbound between mile markers 194 and 196 will be closed on Wednesday. Work will take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. This is expected to cause a short delay. Remember to slow down in work zones.
Maintenance work is scheduled for Gordon Highway between mile makers 7 and 10, starting Monday. The work will take place on the shoulder and will continue until Thursday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Drivers could see a lane closure or a flagman in place while work is conducted.
