AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Deputies say all lanes of River Watch Parkway have reopened following an accident involving four vehicles at River Shoals Parkway.
A silver SUV with a married couple and a 4-year-old inside was driving westbound in the eastbound lanes of River Watch. Investigators say they believe 35-year-old Monique Sullivan was behind the wheel. The SUV got on River Watch at the St. Sebastian Way on-ramp.
By the time the SUV rounded the curve near River Shoals, two cars were driving side by side in the eastbound lanes. Investigators say the SUV tried to go in between the vehicles but hit both of them. The driver allegedly kept going, hit a third vehicle and flipped over.
The drivers in the other cars have also been identified: 32-year-old Amelia Hiltz was in the first vehicle hit, 25-year-old Kevin Mollenhauser was in the second car and 53-year-old Maureen Floyd was in the third one. All three are at the hospital.
Hiltz is in critical condition, and Floyd is in serious condition. Mollenhauser was treated and released on Monday.
Sullivan and her husband, Demond, are in fair condition. The 4-year-old is said to be OK.
A nurse, who happened to drive by and see the scene, stopped to help.
Charges are pending for the driver.
