AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- News 12 is on your side with the latest traffic information for Richmond and Columbia counties.
Richmond County:
The intersection of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Camille Street will be closed from now until Friday while crews replace a broken water line. Drivers can use Old Savannah Road, Forest Street, Chestnut Street or Steiner Avenue as a detour.
Roadwork is scheduled in the following areas Monday through Thursday:
The westbound Greene Street overpass from Broad Street to River Watch Parkway and the westbound right lane of River Watch Parkway from 15th Street past the construction site will be closed on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Crews will be working on the next phase of the Augusta Canal and the River Watch Parkway Multi-use Trail. Drivers can use Broad Street, John C. Calhoun Expressway, 15th Street and Reynolds Street as a detour.
Columbia County:
Gibbs Road will be closed between Battery Drive and Bedford Drive on Monday and Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The lane closure will shift from one lane to the other throughout the duration of the closure. Gibbs Road between Hebbard Way and Hereford Farm Road could be closed during this time. Traffic will be controlled by a pilot vehicle and/or flaggers.
