Portion of 5th Street closed for water main break

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- News 12 has learned the northbound lane of 5th Street is closed while a broken water main is repaired.
The repairs were estimated to be finished by late Wednesday afternoon. As of 5 p.m. Wednesday, the repairs had not been finished.
This portion of 5th Street is between Greene Street and Ellis Street. You can use 6th Street or 4th Street as a detour.
