AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. -- One person is dead after an accident over the weekend in Aiken County.

Angel Williams was driving her vehicle on Old Barnwell Road when the car veered off the roadway and overturned around 4:30 a.m. Sunday. Both Williams and her passenger, Shanna Hay, were ejected. They were taken to the hospital where Williams was pronounced dead. Hay is in serious condition.

Neither person was wearing their seat belts. Williams tested over the legal limit for alcohol. The accident is still under investigation.

This is the 10th fatal accident in Aiken County this year.
