Criminal Investigation Division won't be filing charges against driver in wrong-way accident

Friday, Jan. 18, 2013

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- News 12 has just learned the Richmond County Sheriff's Office will not be issuing any criminal charges in last month's wrong-way accident on River Watch Parkway.

The Traffic Division is currently out on the scene reconstructing the accident.

Monique Sullivan allegedly drove the wrong way for almost 3 miles on River Watch Parkway, hitting three other cars on Dec. 10. Sullivan may receive charges for traffic violations.

Amelia Hiltz, who was in the first car hit, is still in the hospital for her injuries.

The drivers of the two other cars that were hit were previously treated and released. Sullivan and the passengers in her car -- her husband and a 4-year-old boy -- have also been treated and released.
