AIKEN, S.C. (AP) -- Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol tell News 12 a 21-year-old Wagener woman is in jail accused of driving drunk and killing a Mississippi man.

South Carolina troopers say Lacie Doolittle was heading westbound on I-20 between mile marker 11 and 12 when she ran off the road and hit a man parked in the emergency lane.

We're told the man was pulled over checking something out in the hood of his Ford truck when Doolittle ran into the back.

Troopers say that caused the truck to then run over him.

He was taken to a hospital in Georgia where he died. The driver and passenger in the other car weren't injured.

Troopers say the 59-year-old victim was from Vicksburg, Miss. Troopers didn't release his name.

Doolittle is booked in the Richmond County Jail.
