I-20 westbound traffic tied up at river

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- News 12 has learned there is a large traffic backup on Interstate 20 heading westbound.

The right lane over the Savannah River is closed for construction.

This is in between mile marker 1 on the South Carolina side and 200 on the Georgia side.

Avoid taking this route, if possible.
