COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. -- A driver is recovering after a car accident on I-20 in Columbia County early Saturday morning.
Georgia State troopers say a truck crashed around the weigh station at mile marker 187 before catching fire.
The driver was trapped and rescued by TFC Matthew MacDonald Post 25 and two Columbia County deputies.
Troopers say they had to give the driver a pocket knife to cut his seat belt while they were prying the door open to remove him.
We're told the driver sustained second-degree burns and was taken to a local hospital.
