AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Deputies say three accidents were caused by car racing in Richmond County Sunday night.

They say two cars were racing on Barton Chapel Road when one of them hit an SUV. Another car trying to avoid the first one hit another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction head on.

Three people in the accidents had minor injuries, and the two cars that started it all left the scene.

The only descriptions of the vehicles officers have are that one is a truck and the other is a Crown Victoria.
