RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. -- Georgia State Patrol and Richmond County deputies responded to the scene of a fatal accident on Deans Bridge Road just south of Tobacco Road Friday morning.
Troopers on the scene tell News 12 the driver, 49 year old Harold Leverett Jr. of Hephzibah, was southbound on Deans Bridge Road when he lost control, over corrected and flipped five times before being ejected.
They believe Mr. Leverette was a diabetic and may have had a medical issue causing the accident.
Both southbound lanes of Deans Bridge Road were closed for a time for crews on the scene.
The accident is still under investigation.
