UPDATE: 8-year-old boy injured in 4-wheeler, pickup truck accident

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. -- An 8-year-old boy was taken to the hospital after being hit by a pickup truck on Ridge Road Wednesday afternoon.
The boy, Fernando Washington, is said to have non-life-threatening injuries.
Glenwood Williams was driving south on Ridge Road when Washington pulled out of a driveway in front of him. Williams swerved, hitting the 4-wheeler, before going into a ditch and hitting trees.
Williams was taken to GHS Medical Center with injuries, but they are not said to be life threatening. His passenger also had non-life-threatening injuries.
