AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Coroner Grover Tuten has confirmed the motorcyclist who was involved in an accident on Monday has died.

Andre Harris, 35, died from massive head trauma at 11 a.m. on Wednesday.

The accident happened on Milledgeville Road at Wheeless Road on Monday around 5 p.m.

Shelia McGruder, 47, allegedly failed to yield and cut the motorcyclist off. She will face charges of vehicular homicide in the second degree, failure to yield and driving with a suspended car tag.

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- A motorcycle driver is in serious condition after an accident shut down an intersection during evening rush hour on Monday.

The accident happened around 6 p.m. at the intersection of Milledgeville and Wheeless roads.

Charges are pending for the driver of a blue Mercury who allegedly failed to yield and cut the motorcycle driver off. She was turning left on Milledgeville Road from Wheeless Road when the accident happened.

The driver has severe head trauma. His name has not been released at this time.
