COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. -- The eastbound ramp of I-20 at Lewiston Road is now back open after crews cleaned up an accident on Monday afternoon.
The driver of a dump truck was flown via helicopter to the hospital after his dump truck blew a tire, went through a guardrail and rolled over in the ravine in the median.
This happened between mile markers 193 and 194.
Pam Tucker of Columbia County EMA says accident scene work will resume on Tuesday.
We are told the driver was conscious as he was airlifted to the hospital.
