AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Traffic is back up and running after a man's 18-wheeler truck overturned on Bobby Jones Expressway Thursday morning.

Richmond County dispatch tells us it happened near exit 9 around 5:30 a.m.

The westbound ramp at Mike Padgett Highway was closed down for several hours while crews cleaned up the mess but has since been reopened.

The driver was rushed to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Deputies say they don't think the driver was speeding. They say something may have been in the road in order for the driver to flip.

For now, the crash is still under investigation.
