UPDATE: No one injured in ammonia spill at Dart plant

Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Work is back to normal at the Dart plant in Augusta after an ammonia spill Tuesday morning.

It happened around 1 a.m. at the plant on Wrightsboro Road.

Richmond County fire crews and the Hazmat team were called out after 2 gallons of ammonia spilled inside the warehouse. The plant says a valve wasn't completely closed.

Two employees were immediately removed and a plant action plan was implemented.

Hazmat arrived after the spill had been contained and made sure there were no further incidents.

No one was injured during the spill.
