THOMSON, Ga. -- Charges have been filed in the deadly accident that killed 8-year-old Cassius Walker more than a year ago.
District Attorney Dennis Sanders says Georgia State Patrol has filed a misdemeanor second-degree vehicular homicide charge against 51-year-old Wayman Brown.
Brown posted bond and is not behind bars.
Walker was getting on the school bus in October 2010 when he was hit.
Sanders says he plans to take the case to a grand jury to determine if there is enough evidence to move forward. The grand jury hearing will most likely be in June.
