AUGUSTA, Ga. -- An Augusta road is set to beautified after the Augusta Commission approved the plans Tuesday night.
The beautification agreement covers Alexander Drive from Riverwatch Parkway to Washington Road.
The city will match a $135,000 investment from a local nonprofit group. The city's portion will come from SPLOST dollars. The money will pay for landscape improvements and a new irrigation system.
"I think it will be a more pleasant drive on Alexander Drive in the future," said Commissioner Jerry Brigham.
