RICHMOND CTY., Ga. -- Crews in Richmond County were working an accident with injuries on the 3800 block of Mike Padgett Highway Tuesday morning.
According to the Accident Response Team, a surveying crew was working on Mike Padgett Highway when a truck hit its brakes. Stephanie Moore, 26 years old from Waynesboro, traveling behind the truck then hit her brakes to miss the truck, traveled left then right, then spun out. The back end of her vehicle struck a surveyor.
The surveyor, Randall Mulrooney, 30 years old from Kite, was life-flighted to a local hospital. Crews on the scene say his injuries are serious, but he should survive.
No charges have been filed in the accident at this time.
