UPDATE: Accident near LBC Middle School in Aiken Co. ties up traffic

AIKEN CTY., S.C. -- Crews responded to the scene of an accident with injuries on the railroad tracks near LBC Middle School Monday morning.

Two vehicles were involved in the accident that tied up the roads and the railroad lines at about 7:30 a.m.

Christopher Sims was driving north on Highway 421 when John Martin pulled out in front of him from Lions Trail, hitting Sims.

Martin was charged with failure to yield right of way. He was not injured.

Sims had two passengers in the car -- one was a child who was not wearing a seat belt. Both passengers were transported with minor injuries. Sims was charged with child restraint violations.
