AUGUSTA Ga. -- Deputies are working the scene of where a Gold Cross ambulance struck a Capitol City ambulance at the intersection of Walton Way and 15th Street Wednesday night.

Deputies say the Gold Cross ambulance was going eastbound on Walton Way while in the opposite direction, a Capital City ambulance was going to make a left on 15th Street. That's when the Gold Cross ambulance hit the transport truck.

The transport truck then spun out, hit a light pole and hit a Wells Fargo Bank building.

Very little damage was made to the light pole and Wells Fargo building.

Both vehicles were not transporting anyone at the time.

Injuries were minor. The passenger of the Gold Cross ambulance and the driver of the Capitol City ambulance were sent to the hospital for medical evaluation.

The intersection is now back open.
